BRS SUBSCRIPTION RATES 2026 PLUS OFFER

The BRS Committee held an EGM last week to propose a motion that BRS membership subscription fees should be made by the Committee at appropriate times and not at the AGM.  The motion was passed, and the Committee instantly agreed the following fees as set out below.  The purpose for acting swiftly is to allow members as much time as possible to renew, particularly for those members who may not be on the island during renewal times.  Please note the following:

• The annual membership subscription fee for 2026 is 400 TL.  This is a 100% increase on the previous year.  It was felt that this increase was necessary to reflect the current economic conditions we are all facing.  Not much comfort but still significantly less than when converted, membership was around the £10 mark annually.
• To reward members for their loyalty, we are introducing an ‘offer' for a set period of 5 months (between 1/11/25 and 31/3/26) whereby members can renew their membership for the 2026 and 2027 calendar years for £10.  The idea being that money in the bank and in a reliable currency can mitigate future fluctuations and variations both for the Turkish Lira currency and cost of living.
• At the appropriate time during 2026 we will endeavour to create an ‘offer' for those members whose subscription ends at the end of 2026.  At present there is no option in place to renew for just 2027.

Any member whose subscription ends on 31/12/25 and does not renew their membership by 31 March 2026 will be considered as ‘lapsed'.  This means that you will no longer receive update emails, access the login part of the website and be removed from the BRS Facebook page.  The lapsed status can be easily reversed by simply renewing membership for 2026 at 400 TL (the offer of £10 will not be open to those who lapse as the offer ends on 31/3/26).

Please note that membership fees are only collected in cash at the correct currency and we would politely request that those members who wish to take up the ‘offer' of £10 for 2026/2027 please bring the exact amount in the correct denomination.
